Medical scribes are a non-licensed member of a medical care team. They specialize in medical record documentation and assist the provider with documentation and patient throughput. Though you'll be working with an AI directly, our human scribes are a quick page away should you need to speak with them directly. Our virtual scribes are still with you for every patient encounter, without taking up valuable space in exam rooms. 

Scribes can do your documentation on your behalf, take histories from patients, assist with non-direct care of patients, etc. The purpose of the scribe is to make your job easier, whatever that may entail. 

Scribes cannot do any direct patient care, enter orders, relay verbal orders, or write prescriptions. 

With certain EHRs, the scribe can bill the visit at the point of service. See how this improves compliance and reduces your audit risk. 

This service requires encounters to be recorded. Recordings are then transcribed by the AI for additional processing into a structured note. A human scribe then reviews the transcript and the generated AI note to ensure information is accurate within known medical context.  

Should you need to speak with the human scribe, you can page them and they'll promptly call you back. If our human scribes have noted any discrepancies in the transcript and AI generated note, they'll call you. This allows for the scribe to ask questions in real-time if something isn't clear, ensuring that documentation is done correctly in a timely manner. 

We work with each practice to determine what hardware will work best. This usually involves using systems already in-place at the practice, such as a laptop or iPhone.
